The quintessential, oft overlooked era of Esquire and Tele'dom – the mid to late fifties era of blonde bodies, maple necks, and white guards. By this time, pickup design was a little better defined - Alnico V became standard in the mid fifties, and the outputs settled in around 6.2K. White rope wrap, magnets just barely sticking above the top bobbin. Expect a bright, clear, twangy tone with loads of harmonics.
